The Sykes-Picot Agreement
After much discussion, Sykes was ordered to enter into an agreement or supplement to Sykes-Picot («Draft Arrangement») with Picot covering the «future status of heja and Arabia, and this was achieved at the end of September.  Until the end of the year, the agreement still had to be ratified by the French government.  After confronting the dissiderate of all the parties concerned, namely the British, the French and the Arabs, the two statesmen worked out a compromise solution. .
